Fitch: Sovereign downgrades would not automatically lead to rating actions for Italian and Spanish insurers
The majority of Italian and Spanish insurers rated by Fitch Ratings would be likely to see their ratings affirmed, even in the hypothetical scenario of a modest downgrade in the sovereign rating of their respective countries, according to the ratings agency.
