Indian university makes group insurance scheme mandatory

Bharathidasan University in India is reported to have made it mandatory for all 116 affiliated colleges to join the group insurance scheme for students from this academic year.

According to The Hindu, 60 colleges are currently in this scheme, which was initiated in 2004 by the then vice-chancellor.

In what it claims is a first of its kind, 1.2 lakh students of the university

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
