Aviva to slash global workforce by 6%

British insurer Aviva will cut its workforce by 6% over the next six months in a bid to reduce expenses.

Approximately 2 000 roles across the firm's businesses in the UK, Europe, and Asia are to be be made redundant.

The redundancies are part of a programme to reduce expenses across the whole business,
