Tasmania bushfire losses could top AUS$49m
Losses from bushfires that have ravaged Tasmania in the past few days are expected to be around AUS$49m (€39m).
Preliminary data collected by the Insurance Council of Australia shows that more than 510 claims have been received from policyholders affected by the bushfires in south Tasmania.
