Report incriminating insurers in phone hacking to be re-examined
The Home Affairs Committee is due to meet later today to discuss the possibility of questioning the Serious and Organised Crime Agency over a leaked report into the use of private investigators by insurance, law and telecoms firms and their links to phone hacking.
The confidential report, leaked to The Independent, was compiled in 2008 and was presented to The Leveson Inquiry into the culture, practice and ethics of the press last year.
