Bupa profits rise outside the UK
Private medical insurer Bupa has announced revenues up 6% to £8bn and an underlying surplus up 20% to £559m.
The company said much of the growth had been overseas, with the UK proving a tough market.
International markets saw revenues up 14% to £3,874.3m and Bupa's surplus up 36% to £283.4m.
