L&G posts £8m insurance loss
Legal and General attributed an £8m general insurance loss for 2010 to “extreme weather conditions” at the end of last year.
The loss is in contrast to a half year operating profit of £14m and comes despite an increase in gross written premiums to £281m (2009: £273m). Last year the general insurance division posted a profit
