NIG to close eight branches in shake up

NIG has announced a proposal to reduce its offices from 18 to 10.

A consultation process kicked off on Tuesday and it hopes to put the changes in place by quarter one 2010.

NIG currently employs 900 staff and it has admitted there will be a net reduction in headcount
