IUA premiums show small increase
The latest statistics from the International Underwriting Association have shown a positive cash flow of more than £2.5bn in the London insurance company market for 2003- an increase of more than £0.5bn on the previous year and nearly ten times greater than the 2001 result.
Premiums of £5557m were processed by the Ins-sure bureau during the year, up from £5469m in 2002 and £4199m in 2001. Total claims processed, meanwhile, were £2893m, declining from £3547m in 2002 andOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
