Aviva admits worry over 2007 target as weather claims hit £340m

Following the July floods in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas, Norwich Union's parent Aviva estimates the cost of this event, and reinsurance to limit the costs of future similar events in the UK, to be in the region of £165m. It follows an estimated £175m hit for the June floods.
