Willis completes $2.1bn buyout of US rival
Willis Group has completed the acquisition of Hilb Rogal and Hobbs for $2.1bn (£1.2bn) in a move that the broker claims will double Willis’ revenues and geographic presence in North America.
Willis, which announced a definitive agreement to acquire HRH on 8 June, said the addition of HRH expands Willis’ local presence from 70 to 210 locations in North America, and strengthens the company
