Claims Apprentice 2023: Episode two – Data escape room

Now that the apprentices have been put into two teams, and their names have been decided upon, it is time for the teams to tackle their first challenge.

In the second episode of Claims Apprentice, Claire Mulligan, sponsor Kennedys’ own Alan Sugar, explains that for the first task Team Aspire and Team Connect will be given one hour inside an escape room to solve a series of puzzles with answers that might be found within the confines of the location, or by using publicly available data online.

With the clock ticking, the big questions are:
• Which team will bond the quickest?
• Who will come up with the clearest strategy to tackle the puzzles – and which team will descend into chaos?
• Have the teams got a grasp of where to look for publicly available data, and where on social media might some answers be found?

Team Connect will be overseen by Stephanie Diaz-Smith, investigation services manager in Kennedys’ investigation services team; and Team Aspire by James Stevens, a partner in Kennedys’ counter fraud team. Both Stephanie and James are allowed to give the apprentices up to five prompts, after which they will incur a penalty.

To find out if either team makes it out in the allotted time, and who asks for the most clues, watch the episode now.
