Business 'needs to wake up' to flu pandemic
British business is not prepared for the implications of an influenza pandemic, according to speakers at conference hosted by broker Aon. The conference was held to discuss the UK’s state of preparedness for a major pandemic following recent news of bird flu outbreaks in Europe and four human deaths in Turkey.
Delegates at the conference discussed employers’ responsibilities in the event of a pandemic, and the implications of health and safety legislation.
