RSA shares jump on bid rumour
Shares in UK-based insurer Royal and Sun Alliance rose by just over 7% this afternoon - hitting just over 141p each - before falling back slightly, on the back of renewed market speculation that the company could be a takeover target.
Market commentators however believe a bid is probably unlikely until the insurer finally pulls out of the US, which could be as early as next year.Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
