AIG strongly considering life insurance spin-off
AIG, the US insurer, is talking to staff about plans to spin off some of its life units if is not able to sell them, Reinsurance has learned.
According to a source close to the situation, AIG has been in talks with the US government about the planned spin-offs. It has also spoken to a number of staff about the possibility of a flotation.
