It also achieved the ‘best companies 2 star accreditation’, an acknowledgement of excellence in the workplace and recognition of outstanding levels of employee engagement.

The Big Debate
Are insurers’ blowing flood-related losses out of proportion? Losses from the December 2015 floods have so far headlined general insurers’ 2015 full-year results reports but Axa UK and Ireland group CEO Paul Evans told Post this week he did not think the industry should be complaining about the cost of the storms. “It is really important we get the message out there that we’re here to pay storm claims. We shouldn’t be taken by surprise by the fact that it rains on occasion. Yes, it cost us £80m but I don’t think in the round it impacted our results materially,” Evans said. Do you agree with Evans? Are insurers’ over-stating the impact of the storms on their balance sheets?
