Aviva under review for possible downgrade
Moody's has placed Aviva group on review for a possible downgrade following what it described as the "relatively modest performance" of its UK general insurance business.
The Prime-1 short-term ratings were affirmed reflecting the guarantees from Aviva International Insurance. The rating actions follow the group's 2008 preliminary results announcement on 5 March 2009.
