New India stopping writing (re)insurance risks in Carribbean - Central American region - sources
New India Assurance, the Indian (re)insurer, has stopped writing business at its Carribbean and Central American regions because of high treaty reinsurance prices, Reinsurance has learned.
It is thought that the move by New India, which writes around $30m for the Caribbean and South American region, will send reinsurance pricing - which has got jumped as much as 20% in some cases
