Swinton to cut 900 jobs in shift away from high street model


The broker is reviewing whether to close 84 of its high street branches, including a contact centre in Norwich. The restructure, first broken by sister title Insurance Age, was due to 90% of Swinton customers buying insurance over the phone or via digital channels. Because of that, Swinton will invest £45m in enhanced IT and digital technology. “We are reshaping our distribution model to ensure that we continue to meet the changing needs of our customers in an effective and efficient way,”
