Post Claims Awards - Ageas, AIG, Allianz, LV, Hiscox and RSA among the winners

LV and Ageas both won individual and team awards at last night's Post Claims Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

LV's Martin Milliner won the claims manager of the year prize whilst Ageas' head of reinsurance claims Nick Gunter was given the Chartered Insurance Institute's claims faculty achievement award by video (see clip) as he was unable to make the dinner.

Describing Gunter's achievements, the host on the night, former rugby player Martin Bayfield said: "Nick has undertaken his job over the years to a very high standard, particularly with regard to the Selby rail crash and he has provided thought leadership and involvement for the industry on a range of technical claims matters.

"He has also, in the words of one of the board members 'materially contributed to the creation of a claims community' by his personal style which is inclusive, helpful and co-operative to everyone in the claims field."
