Prudential CEO pay drops 30% in 2016

The CEO’s pay fell 30% in 2016 bringing Wells’ total remuneration to £6.9m, down from £9.8m in 2015. The pay drop comes as a result of poor share growth for Wells under the firm's long-term incentive plan, the report showed. The insurers eight executive directors earnt a total of £35.7m for the 2016 financial year. Prudential said in the report three of the firm's top five earners were below executive director level, earning collectively £22.3m. The CEO’s pay cut follows a record year for
