UN warns on climate change after warm 2012
The World Meteorological Organization, a United Nations agency, has said that 2012 joined the ten previous years as one of the warmest - at ninth place - on record despite the cooling influence of La Niña.
According to the WMO's latest statement, the 2012 global land and ocean surface temperature between January andDecember 2012 is estimated to be 0.45°C (±0.11°C) above the 1961-1990 average of 14°C
