Insurers' share prices tumble as profits hit by discount rate changes
More insurers have posted swingeing losses as a result of the discount rate cut.
Novae said it faced a profit hit of £55m from the changes, while Hastings said it faced a one-off pre-tax charge of £20m.
Meanwhile Esure said the decision to lower rates would affect its capital
