Ogden discount rate set at minus 0.75%

Liz Truss, Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, has decided to implement the Ogden discount rate at minus 0.75%, a change from plus 2.5%.

The discount rate change, used by the courts in England and Wales to calculate personal injury damages awards is more than the industry expected, and will come into effect on 20 March. The Association
