Untapped pet premiums total almost £2.5bn
The pet insurance sector could offer providers close to £2.5bn in untapped premiums, according to a Defaqto report which found that around 69% of cats and 48% of dogs in the UK are uninsured.
Estimated figures stem from data extracted from the Defaqto Matrix which puts the average annual cat insurance premium at £155.20 and £339.11 for dogs.
