Insurers welcome IPT freeze in this year’s Budget

The government will not raise insurance premium tax in this year’s Budget, a move which has been welcomed by insurers.

Philip Hammond made no mention of IPT in the autumn statement to Parliament this afternoon, ending weeks of campaigning by the Association of British Insurers and other industry bodies.

The ABI gave
