Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance has launched into the mid and high-net-worth spaces with the single product/multi-cover offering, which it plans to sell both direct in-house and through affinity partners.

In other news, the multi-million pound payout from the London insurance market for the cancellation cover in Michael Jackson's This Is it tour is likely to hinge on whether the late singer's doctor is convicted of involuntary manslaughter; former Jubilee group chief executive Clive Buesnel has denied sex discrimination claims at an employment tribunal in London; Parabis Law has acquired Everatt & Company, creating a £100m plus turnover business with more than 60 partners and 1000 employees; and RSA chief executive Adrian Brown has defended the insurer's performance in it's handling of the deluge of claims over the winter.

Jensten restructures after £170m fundraise
