Fundamental dishonesty clause criticised for 'unfairly targeting claimants'

The fundamental dishonesty clause unfairly targets claimants and could encourage spurious fraud allegations by "unscrupulous" insurers, according to the UK's major claimant legal representative bodies.

Clauses 56 and 57, which relate to fundamental dishonesty, within the Criminal Justice and Courts Bill received no parliamentary amendments last week and will therefore become part of the forthcoming
