MSIG secures Myanmar economic zone permit

Mitsui Sumitomo has been granted a provisional permit to operate in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone in Myanmar.

The Insurance Business Regulatory Board in Myanmar's Ministry of Finance granted the license on 28 May.

The Thilawa SEZ will be fully operational by the end of this year and is 23km outside of Yangon
