Broker Jelf records £616 000 interim loss

For the six months ended 31 March 2010, insurance broking group Jelf this morning reported a loss of £616 000, an improvement on the same period in 2009 when this was £994 000.

It had steady revenues of £34.9m (2009: £35.0m) but EBITDAE increased by 20% to £4.1m (2009: £3.5m).

The consolidator added that its net debt had reduced to £13.6m (31 March 2009: £38.8m; 30 September
