Claims Apprentice 2022: Episode two – Claims handling challenge

In the second episode of Claims Apprentice, Christopher Dunn, sponsor Kennedys’ own Alan Sugar, explains that for the first task Team Build and Team Unite will have to devise a technical or procedural solution to enhance and/or improve the claimant’s customer journey; and then pitch it to client managing general agent Pen Underwriting.

Team Unite is focused on liability claims and be mentored by Kennedys’ Heidi Swales; Team Build by Kennedys’ Vittorio Cinque, which will be focused on professional/financial lines.

The client is represented by Pen Underwriting’s Matt Hope and Thomas Matthewman.

With time in short supply, the big questions are:

  • Which team will gel the quickest?
  • Who will come up with the most inventive customer-focused idea that demonstrates a clear understanding of the issues involved in a claim?
  • Have the teams got a firm grasp on what a positive outcome looks like for both Pen and its customers; and how success can be measured?

To find out who is the most pitch perfect when it comes to selling their idea, and which team client Pen will be writing a cheque for to take their idea on, watch episode two now.
