Indian banks may need independent broking arm
An Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority report suggests a bank's broking unit will have an independent accountable unit.
Banks that want to sell insurance may have to set-up a broking arm with fully trained staff. The insurance broking arm would then be able to be regulated by the IRDA.
The report expresses concern
