Zurich UK motor and casualty claims director Karl Helgesen has been promoted to role of chief claims officer following the departure of Tony Emms.

Helgesen, who will be taking on the position from December, joined Zurich’s UK finance department in 2008, becoming motor claims director two years later.

In 2013 his role was expanded to include
