Management not measurement key in handling risk
Risk management has focused on the harnessing of technology for risk measurement rather than a deeper understanding of risk itself, according to recent research published by Towers Watson.
In a report entitled The wrong type of snow, Tim Hodgson, head of the Thinking Ahead Group at Towers Watson, warned firms "not to mistake measurement for understanding".
