Ferry sinks off South Korea leaving 280 missing

Nine people have been confirmed dead and at least 280 remain missing after a ferry carrying 459 people capsized and sank off the coast of South Korea on Wednesday morning.

The majority of the passengers on the Sewol, owned by Chonghaejin Marine Co., were school students, travelling from the port of Incheon, in the north-west, to the southern resort island of Jeju
