Reinsurer stocks plummet amid flood fears
Shares in Munich Re and Hannover Re fell around 3.5% to the bottom of pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 index as flooding in parts of Europe raises the prospect of hefty damage claims.
Trading on both German stocks is heavy at 63% and 75% of their full-day average for the past 90 days, Reuters data shows.
Swiss Re has falled 2.1%, contributing to a 1.6% fall for the broader STOXX
