Editor's Comment: RBSI takes the Direct approach
The news that Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance is to use the Direct Line brand comes as little surprise.
It is a tried-and-tested insurance name and, in these times of frugality and tightening of belts, it would be foolish and a potential PR disaster to spend millions on a new brand.
