L&G puts "too cheap" tag to bed with 6% rises
Legal & General's general insurance managing director had hailed its actions in the broker channel as the key behind its return to black in 2009.
The business recorded a £17m operating profit in 2009 (2008: £2m loss), an underwriting result of £5m (2008: £18m loss) and a combined operating ratio of 96% (2008: 108%).
