Be Wiser Insurance, based in Andover, beat off stiff competition and has been named as one of the country’s leading employers of apprentices after picking up one of the top accolades at the National Apprenticeship Awards. Be Wiser currently employs more than 700 people and has more than 250 apprentices.

Sports Show and Vitality are launching the ultimate Business Sports Day, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on 24 June. The exclusive sporting team building event, which will find the UK’s ultimate business team, will be hosted by over 30 sporting heroes including Rugby World Cup winners Will Greenwood and Maggie Alphonsi, Olympic Games gold medallist Mark Hunter and former World, Commonwealth and European world champion Roger Black MBE. The day will be led by former Olympian turned professor, Greg Whyte, who is well known for his involvement in Sport Relief with Jo Brand, John Bishop, James Cracknell and Cheryl Cole.

Business Sports Day with Vitality will give companies the opportunity to test their skills against some of the world’s leading corporations through a series of unique sporting tasks that have been designed to challenge the key business strengths. Set in a sporting metropolis, there will be more than 1500 corporate athletes and supporters competing across over 100 teams, vying for a place in the Grand Final.

Price of tower block insurance finally slashed

Insurance premiums for leaseholders waiting for combustible material to be removed from their blocks of flats could plummet by up to two thirds following the launch of the Association of British Insurers’ Fire Safety Reinsurance Scheme today (13 March), according to Axa.
