While many of the insurance news stories at the turn of the year concerned the misery of the floods there was also some good news to start 2016.

Post’s commissioning editor Cecile Brisson gave birth on 4 January to a bouncing baby girl, Marianne Hicks-Brisson, who weighed in at 7lb and 1oz, making a very welcome addition to Penny’s extended family. Mother and baby are both doing well.
