Blog: Insurance embraces diversity

The insurance industry is in the midst of a cultural shift. A late developer, it's only in the last 15 years or so that our sector has evolved from one dominated by male managers while women account for a majority of the workforce, to a more diverse place with more women in senior management roles.

Until the late 1990s, the insurance industry was in denial about the true potential of women in the workplace. It was in denial that women were not treated as equals. And the widespread stereotyping
