Fintech banking start-up Revolut has outlined plans to launch further insurance products after closing its latest funding round, raising $250m (£181.6m) to become Europe's latest tech unicorn.

The business, that completed the Series C investment round last week and is now valued at $1.7bn, currently offers device and travel insurance provided by Allianz (through Berlin-based insurtech
