Smoker wins record payout

Florida judge awards ex-smoker $56.6m for medical expenses and $244m in punitive damages from maker of Marlboro cigarettes.

A Florida court has ordered tobacco giant Philip Morris to pay out $300m in damages to a former smoker.

The ruling could lead to another glut of tobacco cases being filed.
