Brexit could drive mergers and acquisitions in 2017


Clyde & Co said smaller businesses could struggle with a potential loss of passporting. The law firm found that the number of insurance mergers and acquisitions globally fell 13% last year. There were 387 transactions registered in 2016, down from 444 last year, according to figures from Clyde & Co.
