Japan's AIU and Fuji Fire announce merger date and name
Two large AIG wholly owned general insurers in Japan will complete their proposed merger, first announced in 2013, by the end of the year.
AIU and Fuji Fire and Marine, both in AM Best's top 30 largest general insurers in Asia-Pacific, will complete the merger by 1 January 2018 with pre-merger operations to commence from 1 April 2017.
