Insurers need to move away from marketing decisions based on "gut" feelings, to ones that are based on the total view of a customer.

That was the view of Tom Marlow, director of IT architecture at US insurance giant Nationwide, speaking at the 2014 Teradata Partners Conference this morning.

Marlow outlined the eight year journey
