Magnitude 7.7 quake hits Pakistan

A magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck southern Pakistan on Tuesday at 4:29pm local time, according to catastrophe modeling firm AIR Worldwide.

The epicenter was located 69 km (43 miles) north-northeast of Awaran in the province of Balochistan. The quake struck at a depth of 20.0 kilometers and was followed minutes later by a M5.9 aftershock
