Ruling clarifies 'double jeopardy' threats
A recent High Court ruling that will mean fewer claims reach the Financial Ombudsman Service could spell good news for insurers, according to a law firm.
In the case Andrews V SBJ Benefit Consultants, a judge has given a verbal ruling stipulating that customers cannot bring claims to both the FOS and the civil court.
According to law firm CMS Cameron
