Lloyd's has appointed Guy-Antoine De La Rochefoucauld as the new country manager for its French office.

Before joining Lloyd's, Mr de La Rochefoucauld was the head of HSBC Insurance Brokers in Paris, and has also worked for AIG Europe and Sturge - a previous Lloyd's Non-Life syndicate.

Enrico Bertagna, Lloyd's European Regional Manager, said: "I am very pleased to welcome Guy-Antoine to Lloyd's. His vast experience across insurance, reinsurance, loss adjusting and broking will be a great benefit to our French office and we look forward to working with him in the future."

Mr de La Rochefoucauld welcomed the appointment, adding: "I have had a relationship with Lloyd's for many years, so I am pleased to take up this new role. I very much look forward to working with the team in London and Paris, as well as the other European offices to build on the work that has already been achieved."

Mr de La Rochefoucauld will start on 7 December.
