Wurttembergische teams up with Chaucer for new Lloyd’s venture
Lloyd’s insurer Chaucer has announced that it has reached agreement with Lightyear Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, and German insurer Wurttembergische Versicherung, to start up a new Lloyd's operation, to be known as Antares Syndicate 1274.
Chaucer said Antares Syndicate 1274 has obtained approval in principle from the Lloyd's Franchise Board to begin writing for the 2008 year of account with an underwriting capacity of £135 million
